Diffusion Coatings

The Diffusion Coating Process is a thermally activated high temperature oxidation / corrosion / wear resistance coating for iron, nickel 5 cobalt based metals with severe operating conditions. It provides a chemically bonded, tenacious coating which acts as a diffusion barrier against oxygen and other elements into the substrate.

Diffusion coatings provide superior oxidation, corrosion and erosion resistance of the base metal up to 2100 degrees Fahrenheit without spallation. Diffusion coating is a highly reliable, substate enhancing process for critical components.

It is commonly used for:

  • Gas Turbine Engine components ( blades / vanes /cases / seals)
  • Power Generation components, Pump Impellers, Valve Gates
  • Diesel Applications
